Description

The focus of Validation phase is to check if transition activities and deliverables have been completed as planned and meet the intended requirements.

 

Specifically, the following signals the beginning of the Validation phase:

 

  • Knowledge Exchange completed
  • Processes and Service Engagement Model developed
  • Key roles holders identified
  • Finalization of Service Level Agreements
  • Technical environment established
  • Service teams inducted and ramped up
  • Mechanics For Support WIP and Mechanics For In-Flight Projects agreed.

 

Key activities of this phase are –

 

  • Validating Service Level Agreements
  • Deploying and validating Service Engagement Model
  • Executing Operational Readiness Assessments (ORA)
  • Performing assessment of Knowledge Exchange
  • Validating and publishing Service Delivery Processes and tools
  • Testing and deploying Technology And Infrastructure
  • Validating Information Security Policies And Procedures, accesses and segregation of duties.

 

The completion of this phase typically means that all deliverables identified in the contract documents have been completed and approved. During the Validation phase, the Engagement Manager (Transition) monitors the progress of the Operational Readiness Assessment Plans and ensures that the Service Delivery Teams are working towards taking over the contracted services.

 

Tollgate “Validation Complete” marks the completion of this phase.
